If you haven't been by fourth & clay yet,come on over. We'll be doing the Berkeley Artisan Holiday Open Studios one more weekend Dec 19 & 20 (11 -5pm). We still have plenty of beautiful handmade gifts of all shapes and sizes, colors and prices - pottery, textiles and jewelry.

Holiday Preview

Things are buzzing at fourth & clay as we get get ready for the Berkeley Artisan Holiday Open Studios. They begin the Saturday after Thanksgiving - Nov 28 and continue for every weekend until Dec 20. We will be open from 11-5 pm. Check out rae's blog to see what she's been up to in the Santa's workshop department --- it's pretty amazing.

This year we've invited 3 guest artists who's work we love...
Susannah Schnick who makes wildly creative embroidered bags
Circadian Studios who's fabulous jewelry is simple and elegant
Linea Carta who's letterpress paper goods and textiles are a total delight.

We are also participating in an awesome event that brings together 48 of the Bay Area's best ceramic artists for one night. This will be a great opportunity meet the artists and to do a little holiday shopping. The group is called CAB+ (Ceramic Arts of Berkeley). A portion of the sales will go to the ceramics program at Martin Luther King Jr High School. It takes place at Leslie Ceramics,1212 San Pablo Ave, Dec 4 from 5 -10 pm. Hope to see you there.

Lana Wilson

Yesterday Christa introduced rae and me to the the amazing Lana Wilson. She stopped by for cocktails. Above is a photo of Lana and Christa comparing their tattoos. I am in awe of this woman - check out her beautiful tea pot below.

Summertime

Pictured is Christa demo-ing at her recent workshop at Sierra Nevada College, Incline Village, Nevada. Christa, rae and Josie are currently in different parts of the USA enjoying the rest of the summer. We'll be back to work at fourth & clay in Sept.
