The Show begins

This Saturday is the first day of our fourth & clay Holiday extavaganza. In addition to Christa, rae and my work we are featuring guest artists every weekend. Susannah Schnick's wonderful embroidered textiles will be featured every weekend. Our special guests this weekend are Marna Clark, Deanna Abney and Sara Paloma. Here's a sneak peak of their awesome work. I think you'll agree it's pretty impressive. Please join us Saturday and Sunday from 11-6.

Christa, rae and I and 11 of our friends are whipping up an extravaganza of Holiday Delights. A different group of artists will join us every weekend after Thanksgiving. And we're planning a killer party on Dec. 11 so please save the date! Check out the work of our talented guest artists and the schedule of when each of them will join us at fourth & clay. The lights at fourth & clay are burning brightly these days and nights as rae, Christa and I are working hard on getting work done for the holidays (more on this in coming posts). We are lucky to have two interns from Berkeley High School helping us 3 hours a week. YEAH! Becky and Kate! Here are some action shots.

P.S. Don't forget that the first Saturday of the month is our official day to be open(11-5). Come by and see what we're up to if you can. We might even have some leftover Halloween candy to share.

Ms. October

Our studio is humming with activity. Christa and I have been working away but are really missing rae who is off on her honeymoon. She will return shortly and we will be so happy to have her back. We have some great new work in the gallery. Here's a picture of our current window:



It seems like October should be renamed Christa Assad month! Check out the new issue of American Craft Magazine. Guess who is on the cover...none other than Ms Christa. Inside this issue are some wonderful photos and an excellent article written by fellow potter Molly Hatch. While I'm bragging about Christa check out AKAR. She will be featured in October. Pretty good beginning to the fall season.

BTS - Back to Studio

Summer's almost over and as fun as it was we are all looking forward to getting back to work at fourth and clay. It kind of feels of the first day of school... happy to be back with friends, full of anticipation and hopes for the year ahead. The gallery will be open and Christa will be there next Saturday (Sept 6) so if you're in the area please be sure to stop by, say hi and check out our work.
